PAOK is entering the next phase of its organizational transformation, which has announced significant changes to the structure of the football department, within the framework of the new operating model it has implemented.
Central figures of the new era will be two people who have associated their name with the club. Leo Matos takes over as Sporting Director, returning to Tuba after a three-year stint at Vasco da Gama, where he worked as Technical Director.
At the same time, Adelino Vieirania is taking the next step in his post-football career, assuming the position of Technical Director. The iconic leader of Dikefalos will have an active participation in the planning and daily operation of the competition department.
PAOK’s announcement in detail:
“With consistency and steady steps, we are proceeding with the implementation of the commitments presented on April 28, implementing the plan to transform PAOK into a modern European sports organization, which will be based on a new and flexible administrative structure, with clear and distinct corporate and competitive functions, and with infrastructures that will strengthen its dynamics and competitiveness at the top level.
Restructuring of the Competition Department
In this context, key changes in the structure and staffing of the competition department are announced today:
Leo Matos assumes the duties of Sports Director. The former PAOK footballer has significant experience in football management, having worked for the last three years as Technical Director at Vasco da Gama, one of the biggest teams in Brazil.
He holds a coaching diploma, a Sports Management degree from the Brazilian Football Federation and UEFA certification.
Andre Vierigna takes over as Technical Director. Andre, who is taking UEFA A coaching courses, performs at a high level and takes an active role in shaping and implementing the team’s game strategy and day-to-day supervision of the football department.
New Administrative Model
In the next period PAOK PAOK will present in detail the new administrative model and its staffing.
The evaluation and reorganization process is already underway at all levels of the organization’s operation. The plan includes the completion of modern organizational charts, new job descriptions, standardized procedures, operational protocols and continuous evaluation mechanisms for all staff.”
