On Good Friday, Dortmund announced the extension of its partnership with the top defensive player. Therefore, Nico Schloterbeck will continue to wear the Borussia shirt until the summer of 2031.
After the negotiations that took place, the international German defender was convinced to put his signature on the new contract offered by Westphalia, with increased wages and a bonus for achieving goals.
Dortmund’s defensive leader, who joined the club in 2022 from Freiburg, has already made 155 appearances for Borussia (10 goals and 18 assists). Since then he has been named international 25 times with the German National Team.
His name was and still is in the news of top European teams, including Real Madrid, however, with decisive moves, the management managed to “tie” the player with a new multi-year contract.
