The Police made an arrest in the case of the tragic death of the three-year-old boy, who died on Sunday afternoon after falling from the fourth floor of a hotel in Paphos district.
Specifically, at 10:15 on Sunday night, the 37-year-old father of the unfortunate child was arrested as a suspect.
He is being investigated for the offenses of causing death due to a thoughtless, reckless or dangerous act, dereliction of duty as the head of a family and dereliction of responsibility as a person who had the care of another person.
The 37-year-old is expected to be brought before the Paphos District Court on Monday morning, where the Police will request the issuance of a warrant for his arrest for purposes of facilitating investigations.
The prescribed autopsy on the body of the three-year-old is scheduled to be carried out on Monday, at 12:00 noon, at the Nicosia morgue by coroners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou.
It is recalled that the tragedy occurred around 6:00 pm on Sunday, when the child, who was staying with his parents in a hotel in the district of Paphos, fell from the fourth floor of the building under circumstances that are still being investigated.
The Police were informed at 6:40 pm, when the child had already been taken by ambulance to Pafos General Hospital. Despite the efforts of the doctors, he was pronounced dead.
The scene remains under police blockade, while investigations continue to clarify the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
